By purchasing any SALMAN™ Designs product, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to all policies listed on this website. Should you have questions about these terms and conditions, or would like copies sent to you, please contact us at info@salmandesigns.us  prior to your purchase. Additionally, you hold harmless SALMAN™ Designs from all injury, damages or claims incurred by using any SALMAN™ Designs product. In no event shall SALMAN™ Designs be responsible for liability arising from connection with your purchase. Using our products, you agree to these conditions in all current, past and future orders from SALMAN™ Designs.



Some of the SALMAN™ Designs unique designs include very sharp adornments that offer safety for your special pet as well as couture style for people. These spiked and other similar creations must be respected and carefully used. Administer safety at all times when wearing the pieces or applying them to your pet, yourself and others. SALMAN™ Designs does not support the misuse of our products for harm or abuse of any kind to our animal or humans friends.

The stainless steel on our items is extremely durable; however should you encounter a breakage or defect, please discontinue use immediately and contact us. If there is safety concern with any part of the product that has become impaired, please discontinue use and contact us immediately.

Our polished brass line of products have been professionally lacquered, however, must be properly taken care of to maintain brilliance. We highly recommend the brass products not be used as an every day collar, unless you welcome the patina look.

Each piece from SALMAN™ Designs is uniquely handmade and in some cases includes vintage leather and hardware.  Additionally, every product is crafted and formed by the Head Designer’s creative inspiration.  Because of this, there will be slight variations from piece to piece and from the product photos shown. Product Care

Whether a collar, bracelet or belt, all of our SALMAN™ Designs products are strong pieces of fine jewelry that need to be cared for and loved. They will continue to offer style, and safety to your pet, as long as they are properly maintained.

​

• Do not let anyone stand on the metal. This may cause a repairable kink in the metal.

• Store your SALMAN™ Designs products in their dust bags.

• Keep the pieces clean and free of dirt and debris, as well as dry and conditioned.



1. Leather Care and Cleaning

Caring for your SALMAN™ Designs fine leather products is not difficult. There are a few things to remember when caring for your pieces. Leather is an organic material and the tanning process can help preserve your leather, but it needs to be maintained property. The general rule is, if you are comfortable, your pieces are too. After exposure to too much cold, heat, moisture, dryness or chemicals, your leather is likely to need a bit of care.

For leather products that will last as long as possible and remain in optimum condition, it should be kept free of excess moisture, heat and chemicals, and grime.



If your leather gets wet, place it in a well-ventilated area at room temperature. All straps or pieces that can be laid flat should be. Harnesses, leashes, collars and belts can be hung. Never place your leather products in direct sunlight to dry them. Do not place your leather products on or near a heat vent or radiator. Allow leather to dry thoroughly.

Once the leather is completely dry, use a good quality leather cleaner or Glycerin Saddle Soap. Wipe it clean by vigorously rubbing with a soft cloth. Once clean, apply a good quality leather conditioner. Begin massaging your leather in your hands. To apply conditioner, do not use a towel or rag as this will soak up more of your conditioner than your leather will. Pour a very small amount into the palm of your hand and rub your hands together. Then massage it into the leather. Re-apply as necessary. Allow a few minutes to dry.



If your leather gets dirty, wipe it clean with a damp soft cloth and allow it to dry. If desired, a mild Glycerin Saddle Soap or Liquid Leather Cleaner can be used. Once the leather is dry, apply a small amount of Conditioner by rubbing it in with your hands.



If you live in a very hot, very dry, very cold or very humid climate, apply small amounts of Conditioner to your clean leather periodically to help keep it soft and supple.



2. Metal Care and Cleaning

Stainless steel is known for its ability to be a resilient surface that typically resists corrosion and rust. However, things such as dirt, dust, and grime put stainless steel at risk for decomposition. The metal responds well to cleaning when certain guidelines are followed and we suggest the following when caring for your SALMAN™ Designs pieces. Please keep in mind this is for the metal strip portion only and do not use these techniques on the leather.

Routine cleaning can be achieved by using warm water and a microfiber cloth. This is the safest option for cleaning stainless steel. Gently dab the metal with a moist cloth until clean and then dry thoroughly with a clean cloth to prevent water spots. Wipe in the directions of the polish lines.

​

For cleaning that needs more power, mild detergent diluted with warm water can do a great job without damaging your stainless steel. Gently dab the metal with the solution on the moist microfiber cloth until clean. Make certain to wipe the surface free from solution with a clean damp cloth thoroughly to prevent staining and spotting. Cloth dry to prevent water spots which can be caused by minerals in water.

If you have staining, scratching, or need to polish your stainless steel, a stainless steel cleaner is a good option. Some of these cleaners and polishes can help minimize scratching and remove stains. They also can polish surfaces beautifully. Read the directions carefully on the cleaner and test in an inconspicuous spot. Be sure to wipe surface clean from cleaner thoroughly and then dry with a microfiber cloth.



5 Year Limited Warranty

1. Warranty and Warranty Period. SALMAN™ Designs ("SS") warrants to the original Purchaser, repair of Products that are defective in material or workmanship (the "Warranty"). This Warranty applies only to the original Purchaser of the Products, for five (5) years of from the date of purchase. The original sales receipt must accompany the claim for repair. Email us at info@salmandesigns.us for instructions on how to have the Product repaired.



2. Limitations on the Warranty. The following limitations apply to the Warranty:
a. The Warranty applies only to Products that are defective in material or workmanship. This Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear. The Warranty does not cover service or labor charges that are incurred in removing or replacing any Products or parts.
b. The Warranty does not cover the finish placed on Products by SS. Accordingly, SS will not replace, repair or refinish any Products if the finish on the Product is worn in any manner.
c. The Warranty does not extend to Products which are damaged or which fail as a result of the Products being abused, neglected, or misused in any manner, or as a result of any accident, or items that are misapplied, overloaded, improperly worn, or altered in any manner by anyone other than SS.
d. The Warranty does not include medallions, charms, Concho’s, writing or specialty fixtures or customization at Customer’s request.

3. Obligations of Purchaser. To obtain the benefits of the Warranty, the Purchaser must complete the following steps:
a. The Purchaser must present the defective Product together with original proof of purchase.
b. The Purchaser must pay all handling, transportation, and shipping charges incurred for the return of the defective Product to SS and also for delivery of the repaired Product by SS back to the Purchaser.
c. The Purchaser must contact SS within three (3) business days of defect.

4. Obligations of SALMAN™ Designs. Subject to the terms and limitations set forth in this document, SS will provide Product repair to the original Purchaser.

5. Legal Rights and Limitations of Purchaser. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU ALSO MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE. SALMAN™ DESIGNS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE OR ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE LOSS OF THE USE OF ANY PIECE, LOSS OF TIME, LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PERSONAL PROPERTY, OR ANY OTHER INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES INCURRED AS A RESULT OF THE USE OR OWNERSHIP OF ANY PRODUCTS. REPAIR OF THE PRODUCT IN THE MANNER PROVIDED ABOVE SHALL CONSTITUTE FULFILLMENT OF ALL LIABILITIES SALMAN™ DESIGNS TO THE PURCHASER WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT OR OTHERWISE.
